Ten years ago, Diggermate started with one mini excavator, one big idea, and a whole lot of drive.

Fast forward to 2025, and the network has grown into a thriving national community of local owners, tradies, and doers who’ve turned small beginnings into something extraordinary.

To celebrate Diggermate’s 10th anniversary, the Diggermates gathered at Twin Towns Conference & Function Centre in Tweed Heads for three unforgettable days of learning, connection, and fun.

The theme — “From Surviving to Thriving” — captured exactly what this community is all about: resilience, growth, and building success together.

Over three jam-packed days, franchisees, suppliers, and partners came together to learn, laugh, compete, and connect. From powerhouse keynotes to hands-on challenges and some seriously big announcements, here are the highlights that show what makes the Diggermate network so special.

What Happened at the Conference

The 2025 Diggermate Conference brought together franchisees, suppliers, and partners from all over Australia to connect, collaborate, and plan the next decade of growth.

Conference kicked off with keynote sessions from some of the most inspiring voices in business and performance.

  • Marcel Lal, Global COO of InXpress and FCA Board Member, shared strategies on how small brands can outthink and outperform the big players.
  • Then Brett “Robbo” Robinson brought the energy with his VIPE + P mindset model — a toolkit for thriving under pressure with clarity, energy, and purpose.

Following the keynotes, the Diggermate Franchisor Team took the stage — Mick, Josh, and Tony — each delivering sessions that dug deep into business growth, innovation, and the road ahead.

  • Mick spoke from the heart about what it takes to build a strong Diggermate culture, celebrating how far the network has come and setting the tone for the next 10 years of shared success.

  • Josh walked franchisees through Diggermate’s next evolution in marketing and digital, from AI tools to smarter ad strategies, showing how technology is helping locations grow faster than ever.

  • Tony wrapped up with the big-picture vision: the future of the brand, the importance of partnerships, and how Diggermate continues to lead the market by focusing on people first.

Together, their sessions reminded everyone that this isn’t just a business, it’s a shared journey built on innovation, community, and genuine support.

Sponsors Expo

The first official day of the conference started with an expo for our event sponsors—Credit One, Wacker Neuson, All Class Kubota, OxRockTKV, Toyota Material Handling, and Insurance Mentor—showcased their products and services. It was a fantastic chance for our franchisees to network, learn about the latest innovations, and explore opportunities to elevate their businesses.

A Community That Grows Together

What truly stood out wasn’t just the content, but the connection.

Across the room, you could feel the collaboration, franchisees swapping ideas, mentoring each other, and celebrating wins together.

That’s the heart of Diggermate: a culture where everyone’s success lifts the whole network.

There’s no “every yard for themselves” here. It’s a community that grows together, shares learnings, and backs each other all the way.

Friday Night with Wacker Neuson

In partnership with our long-time industry partner, Wacker Neuson, the Diggermate crew took over Nude Amigos in Coolangatta.

Earlier in the day, Wacker Neuson kept the energy high during the Supplier Expo Challenge, handing out some awesome prizes to three lucky winners, including one standout who took home a brand-new Wacker Neuson BS60-2plus Rammer!

Wacker Neuson have been part of the Diggermate journey for years, helping franchisees access quality machines, exclusive rebates, and reliable service.

This night wasn’t just a party, it was a celebration of partnership, teamwork, and good fun after a big day of learning.

Saturday Awards Night with Credit One

Saturday night wrapped up the conference in true Diggermate style — with a cocktail awards evening presented by Credit One.

Held at Twin Towns Horizons Room, the Awards Night honoured the incredible achievements of franchisees across Australia, from top performers and brand champions to newcomers making waves in their first year.

With Credit One’s support as Diggermate’s finance partner, the night also recognised how strategic partnerships help franchisees access better finance options and strengthen their business foundations.

From Business Insights to Real Growth

This year’s conference wasn’t just about celebration — it was about direction.
Through practical sessions on marketing, finance, and system upgrades, franchisees walked away with clear, actionable tools to grow their business.

From faster websites and smarter SEO, to the new automated rebate and reporting systems, Diggermate continues to invest in tools that simplify operations and boost profitability across the network.

The takeaway? Growth is easier when you’re not doing it alone — and at Diggermate, no one ever is.

Why This Matters to Prospective Franchisees

When people look at a franchise opportunity, they often focus first on the numbers, the equipment and the territory. Those things matter, but they are only part of the decision.

A strong franchise model also needs culture, training, shared standards and ongoing support. Diggermate Conference 2025 was a reminder that franchisees are not building their businesses in isolation. They are part of a wider network of owners who are learning, sharing ideas, improving systems and working through the same real-world challenges of running a local equipment hire business.

For prospective franchisees, this matters because the support does not stop after launch. Diggermate’s network events help owners stay connected to the brand, understand new initiatives, learn from other franchisees and keep improving how they operate locally.

Whether someone is coming from a trade background, FIFO work, a family business, or a completely different industry, the right support structure can make the transition into business ownership clearer and more practical.
